GLASGOW PAT TRAINING COURSE

Our PAT Testing courses in Glasgow are held at the spectacular Glasgow Hilton. We usually run 4 courses each year at Glasgow, so there's bound to be one coming up in a month or so. If you have lots of people to train - why not consider a special date or an in-house course? The Glasgow Hilton is a stunning property, located just off the M8, but also within walking distance of Queen Street and Central Station. Access is easy by Car and Public Transport - Parking is chargeable, however.

The PAT Testing training course is certificated, and we provide all of the materials and equipment for the course. However, if you have already purchased a PAT tester you are welcome to bring it with with you - we'll show you how to get the best from it. Otherwise we'll give you unbiased information about the best machines to buy!

10:00 - 11:00	Background - The legal requirements - what exactly does the law require? What should be tested, and how often? Who is responsible for the testing, and who will be blamed if there is an accident?
11:00 - 11:15	BREAK
11:15 - 12:30	Electrical Appliances - What types of equipment do we have to test? Class 1 and Class 2 appliances. How to carry out a simple examination. Checking plugs, cables and fuses
12:30 - 1:30	LUNCH
1:30 - 2:45	Examination, Inspection and Testing. Demonstration and hands-on practical work - testing a variety of different appliances. Important notes of safety. Avoiding damage to equipment under test

3:00 - 4:00	Examination, Inspection and Testing. More practicals and demonstrations, including testing ICT equipment
